The intensive course will be taught in German, but an in-class translation from German to Mandarin by invited scholars is provided for better understanding. Students are obliged to attend all classes and participate in discussions in class. The professor will firstly lecture on the fundamental topics on criminal law such as the imputation structure of criminal offense, the material content of behavior norm, the distinction between Unrecht and Schuld in Germany’s criminal law theory etc. In addition, students will be required to deliver their own opinions about the issues and answer the questions raised by the professor. At the last class, the final written or oral exam will be provided.
